SOF Recruiting is a specialized institution within the Special Operations Forces of the AFU, which ensures the selection of citizens for service in the SOF. By contacting SOF Recruiting, citizens can learn about current vacancies in SOF units, receive consultation, undergo an interview with a recruiter, and receive guidance during document processing, medical examination, training, and appointment to a military position.

The SOF Recruiting logo is created based on a combination of several symbols: the sleeve patch of the Special Operations Forces, a stylized bident, and the Roman numeral V. The central element in the shape of a funnel symbols the process of candidate selection: passing defined stages and meeting the high standards of the SOF. The side elements in the form of outward-pointing arrows represent development, expansion of opportunities, and attracting new people to the ranks of the SOF. The lower element forms the Roman numeral V, which emphasizes the recruiting center's affiliation with the corresponding structure in the AFU system.

5th Recruiting Center ("SOF Recruiting") – is the official recruiting center of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which carries out the selection and guidance of candidates for service in SOF units.
The center guides the candidate through all stages of entering service: from the initial consultation and choice of position to document processing, passing the military medical commission, basic training, and assignment to a unit. The center's specialists help determine the direction of service in accordance with the candidate's experience, skills, training level, and personal qualities.
One of the key advantages of the center is its individual approach. Recruiters, including combat veterans, sergeants, and officers with combat experience, provide comprehensive information about the conditions of service, candidate requirements, training, and professional development opportunities in the SOF.

SOF Recruiting Patch
The SOF Recruiting patch is made in the shape of a shield, symbolizing protection and strength. A stylized sword is placed in the center, passing through the bident emblem. Above the sword is a stylized horn, symbolizing the call to service and the mobilization of motivated citizens into the ranks of the SOF.
Formation and heritage
SOF Recruiting actively adopts the experience of partner countries in attracting the civilian population to military service. Simultaneously, the recruitment of candidates from foreign countries for service in the Special Operations Forces of the AFU is conducted.

The service members of SOF Recruiting have rich experience participating in combat operations, executing special tasks within various SOF units.
The formation of SOF Recruiting precisely from service members who possess personal experience, thorough military knowledge, and high authority allows for providing citizens with professional assistance in matters of military service and motivation to join the SOF of the AFU.
Heroes and successors - combat experience
The recruiting unit was formed from service members who have significant experience in military service, particularly having participated in combat operations to defend Ukraine starting from 2014.
For executing combat tasks, the service members of SOF Recruiting have been honored with state and departmental awards.
Today, these service members use their acquired experience to staff the Special Operations Forces with motivated men and women.
Our media projects
In 2024, the first public SOF recruiting center opened in Kyiv. Its establishment became an important milestone in the development of the modern military recruiting system and allowed making the process of joining the Special Operations Forces more open and accessible.
Today, SOF Recruiting not only selects candidates but also shapes the culture of professional military recruiting. Through consultations, information campaigns, vocational guidance events, and real stories of service members, the center helps future candidates better understand the features of service and consciously choose their path.
