SOF Training Center
The SOF Training Center provides basic, professional, and specialized training for service members of the Special Operations Forces. The center trains SOF operators, practices tactical actions, and forms professional units in conditions as close to combat as possible.

Formation and heritage
The Training Center of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was established in 2016 following the official formation of the Special Operations Forces within the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Its creation was a response to the combat experience gained during the Russian aggression against Ukraine, which began in 2014. Its establishment took place during the active phase of the Russian-Ukrainian war, when the combat experience of 2014–2015 showed the need for a qualitatively new system of military training. The main goal was to implement centralized selection and training according to NATO standards, preparing operators capable of acting autonomously, effectively, and in difficult combat conditions.
The center was formed on the basis of the existing combat experience of Ukrainian special forces units, as well as with the support of international partners who helped implement modern approaches to training. It was under these conditions that it became a key element of the SOF training system, ensuring a high level of professionalism among the personnel.International experience and peacekeeping missions
Prior to the full-scale invasion, the center's warriors participated in joint exercises with SOF units of NATO countries, including ORBITAL and Night Hawk.

War of 2014: Crimea and Donbas
Since the creation of the Special Operations Forces in 2016, service members of the SOF Training Center have been directly involved in executing a wide range of combat tasks as part of SOF units. Operating within combat groups, they participated in special operations, reconnaissance, conducting missions behind enemy lines, and supporting unit actions in complex environmental conditions.
The experience gained during combat missions is actively integrated into the center's training process, allowing for an increase in the training level of personnel and adapting training programs to modern challenges and conditions of warfare.
Full-scale war since 2022
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, service members of the Training Center of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have actively participated in combat operations in various directions. Despite the center's primary task of training personnel, its fighters were among the first to undertake combat missions, applying their acquired knowledge and experience directly in war conditions.
Service members of the center performed tasks in conducting special reconnaissance, fire adjustment, special operations, working behind enemy lines, and also participated in defensive and offensive actions. Their work spanned various combat regions: the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv directions, as well as the Kyiv campaign.
The combat experience gained during the execution of tasks is actively used in the center's training process. This allows for the continuous improvement of training programs, adapting them to modern conditions of war and passing on to new generations of service members up-to-date knowledge verified directly in combat conditions.
Heroes and successors
In the course of executing combat tasks, the Training Center suffered losses among its personnel. The combat experience of the service members who gave their lives was synthesized and integrated into the training programs for preparing new specialists. Today's personnel of the center adopt this experience, preserving the continuity of generations, adhering to high standards of training and safety principles established by service members since the unit's creation.
